I go to my parents for lunch on Sundays where my lunch is always a little bigger but I save my bread for the evening. So whilst tea may look like a treat it’s the same food but in a different order. I may do this during the week as I tend to find lunch alright without bread now that I am used to eating less at that time.

I expected my morning reading to be lower than 6.4 after taking 28 units of glargine last night. But 6.4 is fine as I can readjust easily.

The adjustment was successful getting down to 4.5 at lunch. I took 2 units and was 6.3 by tea. I will take 3 units from now on. I had 7 units with my tea as I had kept my bread until the evening and I had a banana. You may have noticed that I’ve almost cut bananas out of my diet. They have 30g of carbs in the larger ones and that is carbs I can do without.

My night reading of 7.9 was ok and I adjusted to 32 units to get back to hopefully a standing start of 5.0 – 6.0 in the morning.
