I arranged to meet a friend at 10am, but had breakfast in two parts. Because I’d eaten I only had a chicken breast for lunch and therefore had my lunch insulin then. This rendered having a test at lunch inaccurate as it was technically 2 hours after food. So that is the reason the reading is different.
I find social engagements mean changes to my normal insulin and food routine. This is not a bad thing, but it means making good food choices where temptation is always present and as I eat where I’ve eaten before, invariably poor choices (tasty choices of course) were made in the past.
Back to today, from tea things were back to normal. I was pleased with my adjustment from tea to bed which was within tolerable ranges and meant I did the calculation right.
