Things are becoming routine and I know this because it’s becoming harder to write things. I am sitting comfortably between 5.0 and 6.0 all day. The 8.9 reading was a bit random although I did take the reading after midnight as a friend was over. This may explain the why it was up as the liver was happily chunking out sugar as it does every night in all of us. Whatever the reason for it I adjusted glargine anyway.

I am going to spend some time checking out my historical evening readings from tea (I eat almost the same meal each night) to before bed to ensure I get it right, but I think from the mid 5’s I should be taking 5 units with tea to arrive at 11.30pm at about 7.0.

My current focus is on losing weight and this week I am beginning to incorporate lifting some free weights into my daily routine as well as doing some cardio on my exercise bike. I am aiming to do 20 minutes cycling per day (two sets of 10 minutes) to begin with and then I will increase to two sets of 15 minutes. This will affect my sugar readings and require less insulin than I currently inject.
