The star poker player at the WSOP November Nine line-up this year is Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi. The 2010 World Series of Poker has been kind to Michael, he won the $50,000 HORSE tournament for a first prize of $1,559,046, made two other final table appearances in $10,000 events and has now guaranteed himself a further $811,823 minimum but should he go on to win he will collect $8,944,138.
This comes after being forced to foreclose on some of his properties after allegedly falling foul of “dodgy accountant†practise from a former employee of his who dealt with his finances. There were many saying the Grinder was finished, but he showed that at the poker table he remains a huge force in Poker.
The World Series of Poker in 2010 has certainly become a turning point for Michael, as it has done for the other bracelet winners and November Nine participants. The monster chip leader when play restarts in November will be Jonathan Duhamel who has $65,975,000 chips, which is almost the total amount of chips held by the five shortest stacks at the final table combined.
