Problems and Solutions

by Mal on February 9, 2010

Life has thrown the odd few things at the moment which is conspiring to hurt my feelings. The upshot being that I chilled out and watched Die Hard on TV without ever realising that tonight was radio night. The show will now take place on Thursday and I will make sure I set more reminders in the future. That’s always been my problem. I believe in my own memory when perhaps it is not so reliable. That is hard for me to admit.

Apologies to both Gary and Gareth who kindly give their time up to do the shows and anyone else who was looking forward to an update. I know I was! I even made a Twitter post saying that I was looking forward to radio tomorrow. Oops. But don’t worry, I’ll get a great show sorted and we will be back to full form straight away.

Currently I am between poker rooms. Because of a disconnect problem at Full Tilt I cashed out and am waiting for the money to hit my account before I re-deposit somewhere else. Not sure where yet, there are a few rooms I am considering.

Due to a very slow cash-out procedure the USA poker rooms are probably going to be avoided. I am tempted by bwinpoker.com as I know their site quite well and they are backed by a sportsbook which is good for security but I may also take a swipe at 888.com. People say the games are still soft but I have never played enough to know whether to buy into that belief that fish migrate from the casino games across to poker. I always thought it was the other way around a la TJ Cloutier.

It was a great PR move by Cake to buy the bracelet. They will get their monies worth from the coverage and expect to see a presentation with full Cake marketing and a photo opportunity with Cake presenting the bracelet back to its rightful owner. Worked out well for TJ, he got the money and now has the bracelet back. If I were Cake, I’d make him pay money for it!

Plans for the site are being considered at the moment. It is really a case of continuing to do the radio show (yes, I know…:( ) and continuing to update regularly. Hoping the site hits will continue to increase and more members will join our forum. Don’t forget we are NOT using multiple accounts to erroneously build our community. We have about nine members now and we are all real. Part of my dedication to the site will be entering some tournaments and searching for a tournament result to build the site yet further. Such dedication…

One of the things I have been thinking about is speaking to one of the local casinos and arranging a heads up tournament. I would need the co-operation from a local expert. Watch this space is all I will say at the moment.

Could be fun times ahead!
