My Crazy Poker Dream

by Mal on July 9, 2010

I had a Kerrrrr-razy dream about Poker the other night. It started with me playing online poker; therefore I knew it was a dream right away because recently I have barely played any poker. I am intending to start playing more often very soon. This is partially because I have a bankroll that belongs to me and not HSBC and the other because I want to become a better live player and win some wedges.

Back to the dream.

I dreamt that on weekly poker radio show we were joined by none other than Phil Ivey. That’s right. I asked him loads of good questions and he was even semi-interested. Gary was in rapture, Witty was, well, witty and I was in good form. It was a good show. Shame you missed it.

Oh yeah, not real!

One of the things fake Phil said in the fake interview that never happened was that he could not understand people who had nothing who do not gamble what they have as they are close to busting anyway. Which made me think when I woke up that maybe being too conservative with money is a bad thing at the lower end of the scale; better shoot for loads and start over if it goes wrong. That takes serious balls though and it’s easy to say. Plus you then go to more responsible people for help.

To ball out, or not to ball out, that is the question.

The musing will continue…

Tomorrow I will post Gareth’s videos which he put on Pokertube that are very good. Should have done it sooner!

Until next time…
