Mal’s New Beginning

by Mal on September 4, 2010

Last week I finally played some hands which is a case of “about time too” for me after a long lay-off.

I played five Double or Nothing Sit and Go’s and won them all. I then played a $5 tournament on Stars but busted early on and regretted it, probably because MTT’s are really not my strong point so unless I am prepared to put the work in I should stick to what I know and leave them be. Hopefully I will start playing some cash games soon.

An announcement regarding our radio show, Sam Shan is now a regular co-host and a good one at that, especially as he helps prepare the show each week too! He falls into the show structure as follows;

Main Host: Mal Clarke
Co-Host: Gareth Witty
Expert 1: Gary Hurst – Cash Games
Expert 2: Sam Shan – Tournament Poker
Guest Host 1: Slade Hitt
Guest Host 2: Rob Day

Slade and Rob are not on the show every week but we like having them on whenever they can make it. Rob works shifts so cannot always be there and when he is I must go and collect him from his house and bring him to IAW Towers then drive him home, at which point he has had six cans of Fosters and usually at the “sing out of the window” stage.

My life has taken on a different path over the last few months what with a new job, new interests and new perspective. I plan on playing more live poker starting very soon (with Sam and hopefully some vlogging) and I am also working with a few music artists within my new record label that I have set-up with a music professional from the North-West of England. Link to follow very soon people.

Hmm, I fit into your show as a guest host. I was hoping to at less have a title, I’m thinking “expert podcaster” what do you think? Just playing around, I’ll try and make the next show…
